The two most exciting are AF and SQ.

Probably because they're the ones I fly the most, so I'm certainly biased.

Looks great. Not a fan of the seat+bed concept. Just seems like awkward wasted space

What would you do with the space instead?

More space around the seat for bags and just put a more comfortable seat / bed combo in the middle of the suite for a feeling of space. Both SQ A380 new F and EY's Apartment have the same terrible combination a sub-optimal bed that is too narrow/hard and a sub-optimal seat that doesn't adjust properly for lounging so they can claim they have a seat AND a bed. I wouldn't pay cash for either product as a result when I'm happy to pay cash for EK and AF F. This is presumably why Ben ranks JL and EK new F as better than those products in both cases.

I came across this seat the other day looking at what BA's new first class might look like (given they used them before). But on reading your article I was struck by its resemblance to the AF concept art (though only 3 windows now 5): https://www.executivetraveller.com/acumen-future-first-class-suite

Well I just flew the Emirates “Game Changer” and I’m good! Thank you very much! 😉
I’d like to fly it from HND to DXB, then home to Dulles with a shower for what might be my final (never say never) Round the World trip next summer
In the meantime I have 4 legs in Cathay Pacific (one operated by QR) and two layovers in HKG. A double loop of >35,000 miles with Finair and SQ Biz
Another SQ Suites after StarLux Biz then LH B747-8i First
QR First for 100K AA miles - DCA - SYD in AA First for 70K then EY Apartment. Home on BA First
I’m getting to old to do much more.
It’s been a good life. 🙂
