Lufthansa Lounge London Heathrow Reopens After Refresh

I can see that the tables on the background are properly spaced out. So, I'd imagine they overdesigned the layout (for the purposes of the photo) without thinking of practical matters (just like Allegris).

This looks very good, looking forward to see it in person soon.
But, I do wonder what they did with the senator section, as most of the refurbishment was done to the business section. Hopefully we got enhancements at sen lounge too.

Is there a HON/F section? (I assume not.)

Which Lufthansa lounges have separate F sections? One idea for a post is listing all carriers that have F lounges/sections at outstations. At least I find that interesting!

There is a separate 'room' at the Boston lounge for F/HON, at IAD there is a small cordoned off area as well, and at JFK there is the wining and dining floor. At EWR there is the first class dining area in the new Allegris lounge

It would be interesting to know how much rent they have to pay per months: maybe 50GBP per square meter per months = 80.000 GBP/monts? That would be 1.78 GBP per visitor for rent.
Or is 50GBP/m2 per months not realistic?

I just checked out Luckys article about the BA lounge in MIA: monthly rent is 146k USD for 1205 square meters. That means USD120 per square meter per months (97GBP).

Assuming that rent at Heathrow is 100GBP per square meter, monthly rent would be 160.000 GBP -> 3.56 GBP per visit goes to compensating the rent. (If the assumption is correct)

There was a separate Senator lounge within the main lounge, when you entered the reception they gave you a barcode to enter into the lounge within the lounge, I don’t see any mention of it in the press release but on Star Alliance lounge finder it does state both are closed for refreshments so perhaps the latter is not yet finished.

I visited the lounge at 9:30 am on Tuesday (I had no idea that it had closed for refurbishment and had reopened that morning). The Senator lounge is open, still is in the same location. Like before, you need to enter with a paper/barcode. The furniture in the Senator lounge is indeed much more comfortable than before.

The Lufthansa website does show the lounges are open, I am guessing they are the most updated https://www.lufthansa.com/us/en/lounges

Just visited the lounge today. Nothing revolutionary, this is definitely more of a refresh than a remodel. Yes there is better lighting, some new benches, and the the old lazyboy chairs (showing their age) remain.

LHG is phasing out the HC programme. It's not official or public but it's a done deal. They are following AF approach. Reduce capacity by 75% and triple prices...
It might work but given LHG weakness in service and catering, probably not.
