No mention of the old IHG Select card still providing Platinum status?

Just used a free night at the Dublin Crown Plaza and saved $350. Currently Platinum with the IHG Premier, but that will change. Two years ago, that hotel put us on Concierge level and either a free breakfast or 50% discount (can't remember). That has changed and the hotel no longer offers that upgrade to Platinum members. Will keep the card for the free night.
