Completely consistent with my experience at the Olive 8. A nice hotel, generally nice experience, but as a Diamond, I've never been upgraded. I was told by an employee at the Grand Hyatt that the Olive 8 does not have any suites. Not sure if this is true, but they clearly don't have many.
I did 4 stays in April. I got 3 upgrades to real big suites. I really enjoyed the view as it was a corner room and had full glasses all around. I remember 1 room # - 1234!!!! It was special 'cos that's my first upgrade in this property. I am Diamond member & I didn't ask for it though and it was a peak season with lobby full of people wearing suites during breakfast time.
Awesome trip report! I'm a fan of the bumpy soaps too. Downtown Wyndhams are good at having them on hand. And nice job maxing out the breakfast! I just became Hyatt Diamond so your site's reports from the field is very helpful in finding out what kind of experience I may have. Keep up the great work!
@Darren Mak - How does that work? I've never gotten the 2500 point bonus for not having a RC. I recently stayed at the HR in Savannah and got free breakfast in their restaurant but was never offered the 2500 points for no club. Do I just call up HGP Diamond line?
