Shortly after 10AM we had cleared customs and proceeded back into the terminal, this time through the American Flagship check-in area. This is for international (and flagship) first class passengers, Concierge Key members, and those that purchased American's Five Star Service. As you can see in the pictures below it's a separate roped off entrance…

You never post pics of your travel companions bc of their privacy... But you'll take and post pictures of FAMs? Guess their privacy doesn't matter

I highly doubt those are 2 FAMs

Wow...you've posted better menus on inter-Asian business class routes.

As for your American Eagle flight...that has got to be the most ghetto first class you've ever been in (or at least, reported on).

@ Rami -- Out of curiosity, what makes you say that?

Lucky,

I really enjoy your trip reports, you are a good story teller, and I will continue to read your reports even if I know they aren't based on reality.

There is no such thing as a 20 something flight attendant*, let alone two, on a US domestic carrier.

This is just another one of those myths than parents tell their kids about the good ole days when meals were served in coach, stewardesses' were hired solely for looks and the airlines competed on quality of service. None of that ever happened.

But really, keep up the good work. You are a master craftsman when it comes to trip reports. I am just going to have to move you to my fiction reading list.

* I only fly mainline American flights domestically.

I have to ask, why post that caption? You can't be sure, and if you were, it's really wrong.

@ qbrain - Untrue. They do have two 20 somethings in the entire workforce. Its entirely possible they could end up on the same flight. Just like you could win the powerball.

I think the FAs were from the American Eagle flight, if I'm reading it correctly. Plenty of young ones on RJ flights. Sometimes they look barely old enough to be driving a car.

@qbrain - it was on American Eagle. The regionals have tons of young employees. It's like airline daycare.

Oh, and those were definitely FAMs. I was on that flight 😉 They had bulges around their ankles, didn't eat anything, never reclined, never communicated with each other, and had "lunch boxes" under the seat in front of them.

yea, i'll echo the comments about posting pictures of other people like that w/o their consent. not cool. i doubt they'd have liked being ID'ed on your blog, much like apparently your travel "friends" don't

That lunch meal was pathetic, what happened to three entree choices?

@ lucky
I would think you would not have 2 FAMs on the same flight and I would expect them to board last so they can see and check out who is boarding; I would also think they would not want anybody taking their picture.

@ Rami,
Every flight that operates with FAM's must have at least two, (and often more) as they work in teams.

The tells with these two from the photo are pretty strong.
1. Both in aisle seats (a must).
2. Both with their shirts untucked (also very previlant to hide their weapons).
3. Both dressed very casually for 3-cabin first (they don't look like they're flying for business, or wealthy jet setters).
4. Sneakers.
5. Backpacks.
6. Multiple cell phones.
