The Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch, perhaps the most anticipated property in the Hilton Honors portfolio, has just started accepting reservations. This should be an incredible hotel, and I’m excited to see this, along with the general improvement of luxury points hotels in London.

Reservations for the Waldorf KL just opened up for January as well. Base rooms starting at $550/95000 points. Cash prices seemingly rises to $2000 in June, which has to be a glitch I’m assuming,
Hilton has outsized pricing power in this already expensive city. Eye-popping rates are not extraordinary in London.
I would have expected higher rates too if the service quality is there these seem quite reasonable for London
I’m annoyed that this historically significant building wasn’t used for a more public purpose instead of a luxury hotel that most people will never be able to afford.
I'd never pay 600 pounds for a hotel night but I agree this is much cheaper than expected. I regularly see rates like this in central London at lower brands. I wonder if this sticks or not.
I agree WA has the best pipeline of the top points brands, but the early reviews of the Costa Rica property seem to be a letdown from the pre-opening images of lush vegetation and waterfalls surrounding the various pools. I havent been but the initial reviews have led me to book trips elsewhere for now. Hopefully it improves over time.
I drove by there this afternoon. They are nowhere near ready to open. It's a massive construction site right now. March 2027 seems more likely.
In terms of new hotels, we recently stayed at the Waldorf in Helsinki (they rebranded the Hotel Maria). It was a really lovely hotel, walkable to most sights and relatively inexpensive (less than 500 euro/night for grand deluxe through FHR). Since Finnair is a good points option home from Europe (62,000 to LAX for biz), people might keep this hotel in mind for a stopover.
Oh, moy tovarishch/mein Genosse....there are a plethora of public spaces and places to be had in London, in all price brackets. One nod to capitalist venture in a grand old building will not detract from the proletariat.
Excited to see this finally!! But I suspect standard-rate award stays will be in short supply though, considering only 114 rooms/suites and the high profile location!
