Hilton LXR Santa Monica was easily the best service of any hotel in the USA by a mile for my stay, despite being Silver, I got upgraded to a junior suite with a conference table (after the Diamond who checked in before me was denied an upgrade at all after asking… LOL)
While I can understand why you would have enjoyed the upgrade, I don't really think your story reflects well on the service at the hotel generally.

But I’ve found the Oceana LXR a great property, really captures the Santa Monica vibe. Not sure what the mixed reviews are about, because it’s definitely worth a visit in my book.

I used to stay at Mr C , but it slowly went downhill over the years. The worst thing we’re the beds. I always heard people complain at reception about them . The pool area was tiny. The staff beyond inefficient. I look forward to seeing if the Cameo/ Hilton can turn it around. Location is good if you want to be in the Pico area. We stay at the Avalon , best hotel in my opinion in that particular area.
