thats hilarious because TPG/Brian Kelly has touted how great the advertising earnings are, and he's one of the few people impacted by the $1M cap lol

Did you see TPG is ‘beta’ testing comments, again? Only on select articles, though, like their detailed review of Taco Bell’s loyalty program… remember, pro-business toxic-optimist talking points only! *facepalm*

Chase is becoming a master at offering value to their marketing team to promote products without actually offering value to the end users. As you say, they know that these credits are too hard to use and that they basically just take the Edit's inflated prices back down to earth.

They can probably get away with this for a number of years given that Chase is the market-leading bank in the United States. But at some point competition is the great equalizer. Something about when banks compete, you win comes to mind. Let's hope they actually decide to compete.

yeah its very revealing that they keep adding credits unprompted since the refresh a year ago. that almost never happens, yet they keep adding more and more to entice people. clearly the signups arent where they wanted.

Further irony: They launched that beta 'price-match' tool for The Edit, but only for certain users. Like, they know they're price-gauging via that platform. Difficult for them to save-face at this point, but I guess they're sorta, kinda, maybe trying, though, like, not really that hard.

I don't have the card so I'm not sure how the credits work; does it have to be 4 separate bookings of 2 nights each for it to trigger the full $1000 credit?
