I think if you plan to redeem via the Chase Travel Center, you need to be careful of the fare price. I have had cheaper tickets paid cash direct with airline or with the Chase Travel Center for other cards. You also should discuss that the Chase Travel Center is not the same for all cards - there is a different provider for some cards versus others.
Your valuation hasn't moved despite *every* program to which Chase transfers (even Southwest and jetBlue) devaluating by double to triple digit percentages. Fares and hotel costs aren't up that much. What gives?
