They are having to work to get people staying at MGM properties in Las Vegas. What do you do when your "resort fees" are driving people away? You raise them. Fewer guests paying more.

No points earning on "resort fees" and associated taxes. MGM is one of the worst offenders.

Don't pay resort fees.

@playalaguna,

I agree with you on the resort fees. They suck and I hate them.

However, as a data-point, I just did the math on my recent Vdara stay. I *did* get WoH points (6.5x) on the resort fee, as well as $15 'beverage' (G&T) at a Bellagio restaurant (charged to my Vdara room). Colour me surprised.

If I've already booked my stay in Oct via MGM website directly, can this promotion stack retrospectively if I register for Hyatt membership today?

Thanks! So does that mean quadruple points when stacked with the other promo?

Your description of the promotion mentions point multipliers for “spending at the M life properties.“ So if I were to register for both promotions, but did not stay at one of the hotels, but had dinner or aspa treatment or any other spending at these properties with my Hyatt card and my M life card and my M life membership would iI get the points multiplied for that spending without being a guest at one of the hotels?

For this promo, is it better to book through Hyatt with Lifetime Globalist status OR through MGM Platinum tier status? The rates seem higher through Hyatt I noticed.
