Interesting that my Priority Pass digital card from Amex looks exactly like yours but the one from my Chase Sapphire Reserve is blue and has Chase written on it. It was available to download from within the Chase app.
How does the Sapphire Reserve lounge access benefit differ from the Ritz-Carlton Card lounge access benefit?
@ DenB -- The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card reportedly offers unlimited free guests for Priority Pass lounges. Furthermore, authorized users can be added at no extra cost. So if you can pick up that card (which is no longer open to new applicants), there's merit to doing so...
It makes no sense that a card with that astronomical AF doesn't offer restaurant access on Priority Pass.
I don't understand the logic behind it, as the cost and requirements are exactly the same as accessing a lounge.
Lots of credit cards around the globe that offer Priority Pass access don't make this restriction.
Not having the restaurant benefit is now the norm for US-issued credit cards. The likelihood is that there is a cost to the card issuer to include the restaurant benefit.
It has been steadily declining for US cards over the last few years. You can find an article on AW with a current list. Many of these cards are closed to new apps .
How does the Priority Pass benefit from having the Chase Sapphire Reserve compare to the same benefit from having the Capital One Venture X?
Ben, Last year, I lost my original Priority Pass membership (from the Hilton Aspire card). but regained a new one through the Marriott Brilliant. As I had to get a new membership number (I could not transfer the membership via the Aspire to Brilliant (I did call and ask)), I set up my new account online and they never sent me a new membership card. It exists only on my Priority Pass app.
It is important to comment that there are other Chase issued cards that offer the membership. Also, as other credit cards not from Chase also issue a membership, these are not created equal and have different terms for certain lounges, guests, restaurants, etc.
Thanks for the info. Do note, to access the great Air Canada lounge at San Francisco International you must be flying on a Star Alliance carrier. I couldn’t get in flying KLM.
FYI - Attempted to register with priority pass app today, got a message to download the new Priority Pass + app. did so and tried to register with the physical card Priority Pass Select. The app and website rejected it and said I should verify my information. It was, of course, correct.
I called Priority Pass and they advised apparently in the transition from the Priority Pass to Priority Pass + app/website transition Chase sent over first and last names backward for their customers, so my name on their records was "Smith, John" (first, Last). Obvious pseudonym. Anyway, I asked what Priority Pass was doing with chase to resolve the data feed issue. They said it wasn't their responsibility and I should call chase. I called chase, they told me to download the Chase App. I'm not a chase app user and have no interest in it. If you already have it, yes this could be your solution, but for those who don't use it I finally got the Chase rep to agree to open a ticket to correct my name with PP and that it would take 6+ business days.
Surprised at this poor execution from chase on a "premier" product, freaking embarrassing. PP I expect nothing but the floor as they are total clowns and are up there with 7-11 owners for caring about their product and service delivery.
