I got this card when it offered double points (so 3%) for the first year. Stopped using it after the year ended in favor of Capital One Venture (which does’t charge me the annual fee because of my banking relationship with Capital One) and my Venture X which is worthwhile on its own due to the $300 travel credit and annual 10,000 points bonus before considering other benefits such as lounge access and giving 2% on non-bonus categories compared to this cards 1.5%. Is there any reason to keep this card? (I also have Chase Freedom Flex and Sapphire so I can get bonus points and full value from Chase without the Freedom Unlimited.)

Ted, you’re doing it right! Personally, I’ve been more deep into the Amex, Chase, and Citi ecosystems (and I guess Bilt, too, as well as BofA, but they’re mostly cash back), but am trying to get into C1 (they really want to see what seems like 0/12 or even 0/24 before their pre-approval tools will give a ‘green’ light; eh, maybe just a me-thing.)

I don’t think this is a good card for foreign transactions and for everyday purchases even when combined with other Chase cards. Could be useful for the dining and drugstores in the US though.
