Yes, it is worth it, if one's plans were to use ThankYou points to transfer to Cathay's Asia Miles. If there is any transfer bonus, it is usually between 10%-%20%. Take what you can get. Of course Cathay Pacific award redemptions require more points than in the past, and other programs might appear to be better values. Cathay Pacific still has the best route network (a challenge!; please prove me wrong) to other southeast Asia destinations from North America, when they release awards.
