TAAG Angola Stops Selling First Class Seats
Say it ain't so! Just a few months ago I had the distinct pleasure of flying TAAG Angola's first class. It was one of the last international first class products I hadn't yet tried, and was also the international first class product I had the least expectations of. I flew them from Lisbon to Luanda…

Oh no, don't end the LAD-HAV route! The TAAG bird was such an unexpected and refreshing sight at HAV last February when I was waiting for my boring AA flight to the US.
Haha I miss an more selfish and ironic tuch in this articel that you could had
"TAAG might took interest in my review and maybe its why they stop offering First class"
@Cristoffer:
Y'know, I was wondering if Ben's review might have actually had some (minor) part in this. His review was fairly scathing and he does reach a large number of travelers. It's not too far-fetched.
It's possible they will restrict bookings to official travel agencies or corporate contracts to keep the scrubs like Lucky out
Has there been any indication of the impact of your experience? For such a little-known product, and the reach this site has, I thought it could've been quite big...
Generally speaking, TAAG sucks, including their first class. Considering that they have been incapable of providing first class service (or any service for that matter), it's nice to see them not selling first class anymore.
Na, it was not Ben‘s review. TAAG management and pilots were annoyed that the first class seats they wanted to seat their friends and family in were often occupied by paying passengers. The solution: don’t sell any first class tickets.
Guys, you're totally overestimating things here. I can assure you that not one single TAAG employee has ever read OMAAT. Most likely they aren't even aware of the concept of an airline review blog.
I would guess that Claus's humorous approach is the explanation closest to the truth here.
at porto there actualy is alot of promo pictures for taag. As in "come enjoy our glorious first class".
I lauged pretty hard at that. would share some pics, but i dont know how.
I believe the issue is that TAAG has designated some of the First Class seats as crew rest areas, but on multiple flights there were reports raised that crew were unable to get sufficient sleep due to passenger noise and activity. Hence Angola CAA has required that TAAG either designate the entire cabin as crew rest or else find an alternative acceptable crew rest area. (The above info is from a colleague who has it second-hand from someone at Angola CAA, so take it as hearsay/gossip until otherwise proven).
You’ve just learned a new phrase over the last 3 months, and are using it everywhere, yet in an incorrect manner, as one does.
