There are a few airlines out there offering complimentary chauffeur service for first & business class passengers, though the restrictions associated with the services vary. I agree that $70 may not be enough. It did say private car and not chauffeur, but then again a taxi is also a private car.

I took an Uber Black in Austin in May (or I should say an Uber driver who drove me in his Cadillac Escalade and not an official Uber ride) and it cost $65 with tip from Northwoods area. Didn't have many other options at the time and I couldn't wait for a taxi.

Maybe I'm uninformed because I don't live or spend much time in NYC but this wouldn't necessarily woo me to pick Open Skies. Sure, nice to have but considering the price of the ticket, it's not going to woo my heart.

UberX in New York uses professional drivers, so it is essentially a chauffer service.

That's innovative (particularly for BA). Interesting though why they chose not to offer it at the Paris end.

Does anybody know for how long the code is valid, assuming one prefers to use it on a different flight / date ?
