The Business Platinum Card from American Express has an $895 annual fee (Rates & Fees), so one question I’m frequently asked is whether it’s actually worth that much money. After all, most people don’t want to part with that much cash unless the math adds up.

The Hotels credit is very specific, IMO. Fine Hotels for one night, but it's a very narrow set and usually in foreign spots (which if you travel, as you do, is probably "easy" compared to most of us).

The $200 airline incidentals credit is mostly dead now. Delta "trick" no longer works (see Flyertalk forums), UA is gone. Not sure about AA/AS. Those of us that fly first/business the credit is basically useless.

But as always, YMMV.

@ Ben -- Not sure where you got the part about your phone needing to autopaid with AMEX Platinum business card to earn the $10/month credit. We have our auto pay set for CapOne VentureX, but I make a $10/month manual payment with each of our AMEX Plat Buisness cards, and the remainder is auto paid by CapOne. We receive the $10 AMEX credits like clockwork. Did something change this month?
