Same. Looks like GCs are no longer eligible. Worked in the past so I am guessing the author of this post did not actually purchase a GC this round and should update this recurring post to reflect the change in terms.

My discount was for 50% or $80 max off with a minimum $160 purchase. Worked perfectly with no issues.

I've had two great offers in the past using just 1 MR point. But this time to use 714 points to get 15% off ... that's honestly chicken scratch on a $100 transaction.
