I had a redeye back in July from LAX-BOS and all they served was a snack in first. I was not happy.
One consolation from the downgrade from a 762 to 752 on a LAX-JFK redeye >:( was getting their catering (nice chicken caesar salad and wine).
I agree that AA's catering is pretty good.
@studio253 -- Be glad you got a snack, on Delta redeyes you get a basket of crap to pick from.
Mixed nuts actually decrease the number of digestive enzymes in the stomach. Having them as an appetizer is the topping on the cake.
I've had meals LGA-ORD, LGA-MIA this year. Usually that pathetic Mexican chicken salad, but that's still more than nuts and cookies.
AA FAs actually benefitmore from a letter of appreciation. It ends up in their record, and it is viewed very favorably when they are picked up for promotions or seniority assignments. Instead of AAplause certificates I give out $10 Starbuck gift cards and a nice email to A
A nice soup like that should be on every flight 3 hours or more
I've never seen it even in Int 3 class cabin in first on AA
It hydrates pax and gives the carrier some class.It shouldn't be considered a main course

If they had soup I might fly them in more markets.Instead I fly Int carriers where they do these nice touches x 5 on a consistent basis
With only 2 soup offerings up front, where's the incentive to jump ship from UA?? :>)
