American's New LAX Flagship Lounge Is Now Open
You have to give American credit for the pace at which they're opening their new premium lounges. @ CarstenB -- Nope. Cathay Pacific has a special arrangement with American at JFK since they use their lounge, but I wouldn't count on that being extended to LAX. This lounge is generally only for American first class passengers, and not oneworld first class passengers.
Lucky we will need a head to head comparison of the Qantas F lounge and dining vs Flagship First Dining.
I can’t imagine this Flagship Lounge getting too crowded. If you’re OWE flying Y Qantas F lounge would still be a better option, I’m guessing.

Hi -
I have a business class flight into LAX on Qatar and then on a separate ticket (but same day) I have an AA economy flight to SFO and I am also an AA Platinum, will I have access to the Flagship lounge?
Thank you!
I am flying first/business class to Central America with a layover in Miami of 2 hours, will I have access to the AA Flagship Lounge at LAX?
Ben you wrote up here in the comment about CX at JFK that now using T8, what about the flagship dining? Would CX F pax JFK-YVR be able to use Flagship dining at AA T8 JFK?
@ Concorde02 -- Yep, even if you're just flying to Vancouver you can use Flagship First Dining at JFK.
This is so needed with the catering issues from the listeria outbreak at LAX which I don't think AA has completely restored meal even yet.
Great review, the lounge looks excellent. Looking forward but probably won't get a chance to visit until closer to the summer.
I'll stick with QF First Lounge thanks ( as a OW Emerald ), with the fantastic friendly staff, still by far and away the best LAX Lounge, just a short walk to T4 fom TBI. I can't wait to have the calamari again, mmmmm.
If I use a system-wide upgrade to jump from J to F for the transcon JFK-LAX flight, would I have access to the Flagship First Dining Facility?
Thanks in advance for your help!
