American AAdvantage awards elite status based on the Loyalty Points system, meaning it’s possible to earn elite status with credit card spending. American doesn’t follow the calendar year for its elite status program, or for earning Loyalty Point Rewards.

Would love a post about the same for Atmos Summit card loyalty points. It's been a mystery since loyalty points don't show up under account activity, only the current total.
As much as we (deservedly) rag on AA, they have by far the most fun and intentionally game-able elite system
Sure they do! About two weeks after the end of the month they post as of the last day of the previous month. Very simple.
You ‘gaming’ them via their cards, shopping portal, AA hotels (shout out @Peter!), crediting long-haul partner flights, or something else we all should know about?
How is this gaming them? They provide those channels for consumers to spend. If said consumers are spending, how is this gaming the system?

What is the best way to get a business class ticket using points?
I’m 9K short of keeping PP. American’s buy up offer is $1,900. Appreciate any suggestions.
Look for deals in eshopping with high points per dollar. Bonus miles don't count.
