Really wish this had been available a couple of weeks ago when I booked travel from EZE.
With the new LATAM redemptions, unfortunately, although not in the least surprising, Alaska's myopic worldview persists. (Ben is a serial offender in this regard too.)
A test run of well established LATAM routes such as SCL-AKL and SCL-SYD on MileagePlan show no-go. I wonder whether Alaska has poor negotiators for striking agreements with other airlines or if their IT platform is unable to cope with something more adventurous.
For too long MileagePlan redemptions have largely restricted availability to flights originating or ending in the US. (SQ flights are a notable exception, although eye-watering points are demanded).
It's past time Alaska gave the rest of the world some love!
Showing all availability the DL shows - for less of course. Booked JFK-SCL yesterday & changed (not cancel & rebook) to LAX-SCL today when that became available. AS is easily the best search tool for LATAM availability now since DL's calendar is incorrect & Cathay site is just broken.
Great news but be careful! Alaska is showing more award space than Delta and ExpertFlyer. Is this extra space Alaska Specific or is it a glitch and if it is a glitch is it bookable or is it phantom? Great news if it is a bookable Alaska glitch but my guess would be the extra space is phantom and not bookable.
@Sam Can you change award bookings with Alaska Miles program without paying any fee?

i dont have any stats alaska milage plan
looks pay for luggage fee
I thoght all Business or First class will be free charge bag if 1 bag Cheked bag
