I think it’s a great addition for Alaska fliers. The routes are so short and fares are cheap so redeeming miles isn’t that important. The planes are tiny and they ask your weight prior to boarding.

We had an awesome experience flying from OGG to HNL. The Maui terminal was crazy during spring break but Mokulele flies out of a different building and no TSA. It was my birthday and the pilot to us at low altitude passing Molokai before climbing to get into the approach into HNL. Really a fun experience and they also taxi to a different building at HNL so make sure to let your pickup driver know.

Question: Will Alaska Mileage Plan members earn elite qualifying miles/segments when flying on Mokulele?

Not sure what your complaint is. If you book the flights through Alaska you get the credit. No big deal. If you don't you don't get the credit. Sure it is not as comprehensive as some other partnerships but then again the commuter flight airline is not part of the alliance or an official full partner and gives more access for Alaska customers.
