When I received the e-mail from Flying Blue, I though Flying Blue had changed something at the redemption levels.

But no!

So I am disappointed because that's basically just a new ad for how redemtions were in the past and are now with no change.

I think we are slowly approaching a situation where travel advertising will be treated as a "taboo", similar to the way cigarette advertising is today. A combination of climate related concerns and the pandemic will result in a backlash against travel in general and airlines in particular within certain sectors of the population. When the cries get loud enough, or a government is weak enough, we'll probably see the first crack in the wall and then who knows what will happen.
