On one hand I say, about time !
On the other I say this 2Ku offering ought to be much more reasonable than say KLM's current Wi-Fi offering onboard their 789s. I think there's only 10 ~ 120 MB allowed ?
It is unbelievable how far behind some airlines are. 2018-2019!!!. You can be sure that when I travel TATL for business, airlines with wifi will get my business unless the price difference is huge.
Doesn't KLM already offer Wi-Fi on select 777s? I remember seeing it on fifth-freedom hop on CGK-KUL four years ago over Christmas 2012, but then again I may have seen their info card about that particular plane being the first to do so. Maybe it was a trial run...
February 2019 and still no WiFi. Flew AF 777-300 in La Premiere two weeks ago. No WiFi. Flew KLM 747-400 and A333 in J last week. No WiFi. Flying AF 789 today BOS>CDG. Willing to bet... no WiFi.
