With such tight schedules, I'm not sure they will actually, in reality, operate the 787 on those routes daily – my guess is KUL and SIN will see a lot of last minute equipment changes and/or delays.
Not planning on flying them, but actually saw it at the Boeing Everett plant, parked outside, just two weeks ago!
As someone who has visited Kathmandu on four separate trips over a couple of decades, I tended to follow travel sites related to Nepal trekking. For getting to Nepal, Biman always had the cheapest flights along with the worst reviews and on time stats.
I wonder if they are any better these days.
@Kırk Benson I wouldn't bet on it - they've been warned several times by Heathrow Airport for their punctuality which hasn't subsided despite new planes.
Thank you for the information. I would love to try their 787. It is indeed a capacity upgrade for SIN and KUL, but will this be profitable? There is already lots of competition with SQ, MH, Malindo, Air Asia, US-Bangla and Regent all having direct flights daily.
I heard Biman is also trying to re-open their flight to JFK with the Dreamliner (like in the old days when Biman flew the DC10 via Brussels to New York). Do you think Biman will succeed?
I would like to see Biman Bangladesh Airlines flying from Birmingham BHX flying to New York & Detroit connecting passengers to Bangladesh also Biman flying to Eurpoe via Dxb Dubai
