Trump’s Boeing 757 flies to Palm Beach
In the years leading up to his presidency, Donald Trump typically flew around on his Boeing 757-200, which had the registration code N757AF. During his four year presidency, Trump of course “upgraded” to Air Force One, meaning that his own Boeing 757 stayed parked.
During this time he had put the Boeing 757 into storage, since he didn’t expect he’d need it for eight years. As a result, he didn’t keep up maintenance on the jet. When it became clear he didn’t win reelection, he needed to do a bit of work to get his plane airworthy again.
Specifically, the Boeing 757 was stored at Stewart Airport in New York (SWF), and it needed a Rolls-Royce RB211 engine to even depart the airport. It would then be flown to Lake Charles, Louisiana (CWF), where the plane would undergo significant maintenance.
The plane was flown to Louisiana in November 2021, but for nearly a year there wasn’t much movement, as I guess it needed some very serious work done. Well, there’s a major update regarding this, as the Boeing 757 is back in service. The plane landed at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) on Wednesday evening. Prior to arriving in Florida, the plane performed several test flights in recent days at Chennault International Airport.
The plane is reentering service just weeks before the midterm elections. So it’s pretty clear that Trump will use this not just to fly around to various campaign stops, but the plane as such will likely also be used as a backdrop for many rallies.
The 757 has a new paint job — the “T” on the tail has been replaced by an American flag, and the “TRUMP” logo along the front of the jet stands out even more, if that’s even possible. The effort put into the paint job isn’t surprising, given that Trump refers to this plane as “Trump Force One.”
In the past couple of years, Trump has primarily flown on his 1997 Cessna 750 Citation X, which seats just eight people. Otherwise he has flown on other peoples’ jets.
What’s Trump’s Boeing 757 like?
Trump’s Boeing 757-200 was manufactured back in 1991, so the jet is 30+ years old. Trump purchased it back in 2010, from late Microsoft founder Paul Allen.
While a Boeing 757 can ordinarily seat 200+ passengers, this VIP equipped aircraft features just 43 seats. The onboard amenities include a bedroom, a guest suite, a dining room, a VIP area, and a custom galley. As you’d expect, everything on the plane is 24-karat gold plated, because why wouldn’t it be?

Boeing 757s can be acquired for next to nothing nowadays, so the plane as such isn’t that valuable. That being said, it’s not cheap to maintain and fly, between the maintenance and fuel consumption.
Bottom line
Donald Trump’s Boeing 757 is flying once again, entering service for the first time in nearly six years. Not only did the plane undergo some significant maintenance, but it also has a new paint job, with the American flag on the tail. I suspect this plane will do a fair bit of flying in the coming days and weeks…
Trump will be putting it back in storage or donating it to a charity like Doctors without borders when he wins in 2024.

The fact that he has Rolls Royce engines may may consider a big deal, but in fact many commercial airliners use Rolls Royce engines.
Agree with your point that the maintenance costs are high. I think that you are just commenting about this because it is Trump's plane. Otherwise you probably would not comment. Many others have private jets and you don't seem to write about it.
Since he claims he's so rich he could have retrofitted P&W2000 engines replacing those RR RB211's to match his america first ideology.
And just because there may not be any proof available, it does not mean the elections were not rigged. President Trump may have indeed won - if the 2020 elections were rigged, I would imagine that the riggers would be stupid to not destroy the evidence.

Politics aside, 757 is a very versatile plane. Since President Trump likes to hold MAGA rallies at minor airport hangars or tarmacs, and a lot of airports where those rallies were held does not have the capability to take Air Force One (747), he travelled around in what is usually the Air Force Two (757) instead.
Yeah, also, the 757 allows him to fly over the Atlantic nonstop easily as well given his rather diverse business investment worldwide.
When the President flies the 757, it's still Air Force One.

I believe Eskimo is referring to an incumbent president. Any US Government aircraft transporting an incumbent president is referred to as Air Force (or whatever branch of service owns the aircraft) One. The 757 that we typically know as Air Force Two, which transports the VP, would be AF One should the incumbent POTUS be on board. The airplane is AF One and his helicopter is Marine One due to the USMC owning said helo.

Trump's 757 is an amazing plane. It can hold 1,000 passengers -- more than any other plane. And all of them are in lie-flat, first class seats with doors. The range is incredible, too. The plane can fly around the world, nonstop, and the crews -- the crews are fantastic, the best -- they never need rest periods. The FAA said they've never seen anything like it. It's tremendous, I tell you.
The FAA director came to me with tears in his eyes and said “Sir, that is the most beautiful plane I have ever seen”

That plane has increased in value because the interior is decked out in Gold and the price of gold has risen substantially since the aircraft was built.
