$50 off hotel booking through HotelClub.com

Through the end of November, new members of HotelClub.com can receive $50 off a hotel booking just for signing up. The reservation must be made by the end of November, but can be for a subsequent date.

This can be a great deal, especially for a shorter stay. HotelClub.com typically prices out the same as Orbitz, so you can pay close to nothing for a decent hotel this way. For what it’s worth I’ve had great experiences with HotelClub.com in the past, and have even used them without this promo.

Hat tip to The Best Rate Guarantee Blog for this.

  1. Oliver,

AFAIK, Hilton only offers HHonors points to reservations that are made directly on the Hilton website of through Hilton reservations. I do not agree with this policy, but this is the way that it is. If you have an AAA membership, you should try entering your AAA number on the Hilton website to see what rates a particular hotel will offer, as the AAA rate may sometimes offer a very good savings.

  2. chitownflyer, yes, I have read that in HHonors T&C, but it’s certainly not as clear-cut as they word it. I have received points for all of my stays booked through my company’s online reservation tool. Of course, it’s understandable that they wouldn’t want to piss off business travelers (I have a choice between Hilton, Marriott, and Starwood as my corporate hotel chains), but I still think they should change their T&Cs to be more clear. Certainly it comes up often enough as a question on FT.

  3. Oliver, technically (and probably even in practice) I believe not. While I don’t have experience with Hilton in these types of circumstances, IC has made a “one time exception” for me in the past in which they credited me the points/stay credits for a “non-qualifying stay,” so I’m sure it’s possible, but it might take a fight.
