The Southwest Premier Business Card now has a welcome offer of up to 120,000 Rapid Rewards bonus points, structured as follows:

Earn 60,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 within the first three months
Earn 60,000 additional bonus points after spending a total of $15,000 within the first nine months

This is an incredible bonus. Rapid Rewards is a revenue-based frequent flyer program, and personally, I value Rapid Rewards points at 1.2 cents each. So to me, the 120,000 points are worth $1,440.

But it gets even better than that. Southwest Companion Pass is one of the best deals in travel, and allows you to take a companion with you on your travels at no extra cost. This requires earning 135,000 eligible points in a calendar year. If you were to complete the minimum spending on the card in a calendar year, you’d earn a total of at least 135,000 eligible points, and therefore would qualify for Companion Pass.

That’s an amazing opportunity, as you’re earning a ton of points toward travel, plus you can take a companion with you, potentially doubling the value of those points.

Who is eligible for the Southwest Premier Business Card?

Who is eligible for the welcome bonus on the Southwest Premier Business Card? Southwest Airlines and Chase have several co-branded credit cards. As far as Southwest credit card eligibility requirements go, you’re not eligible for the bonus on this card if you currently have it, or if you’ve received a new cardmember bonus on this exact card in the past 24 months.

That means you’re eligible for the bonus on the card even if you have Southwest’s other business card, the Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card (review).
