While there are lots of ways to earn miles from home (without flying), S7 Airlines is quite literally giving people miles for staying home. For those of you not familiar with S7, they’re a fascinating Russian airline that’s also a member of the oneworld alliance.
With S7’s “Fly At Home” promotion, the company is offering members 100 S7 Priority miles for every day that they confirm they’re at home.
The promotion is valid from March 30 through April 30, 2020, and you can earn 100 miles each day just for clicking a button that confirms you’re at home — so you can earn a total of 3,000(ish) miles through this promotion.
As the promotion page explains (via Google Translate):
The best that each of us can do in the fight against the pandemic today is to limit our movements and stay at home. We believe that travel will return to our lives again. Perhaps not now, but later, it is obligatory. We support everyone who respects quarantine and earn miles for every day spent at home.
Confirm your presence at home by clicking the “I’m home” button on this page. And get 100 S7 Priority miles every day – they will come in handy for your future travels.
Bottom line
Well played, S7. What a cute promotion to send the right message while also engaging members in the program on a daily basis.

Random comment but Singapore Airlines have just extended status.....great news...
"I would also like to share that we will automatically renew all KrisFlyer Elite and PPS Club membership statuses for another 12 months at the end of your respective membership year. This applies to all memberships expiring from March 2020 through to February 2021. The validity of any expiring PPS and Elite Gold Rewards will also be extended until 31 March 2021. "
Trying to take advantage of the S7 offer - tapping the "Im home" as suggested
but no indication etc.
@Tom Aeroflot (actually S7’s biggest competitor) is also one of the few airlines that has put a blanket one-year extension on everyone’s status. Very nice.
O/T Aegean has updated their website and confirmed status will be updated for 6 months and it’s already updated for my account! More details on their website and FAQs. Not as generous as Qatar or Qantas but still good enough! Other airlines should take note!
@Ben, I have read every S7 blog you've put out there, but I'm curious as to why they are a "fascinating" airline in your eyes? Or is it just that you haven't flown them yet?
I can already see tons of American and other "anti Russian" users typing nasty comments just because you said something nice about a Russian airline..
Great post Ben!
Will you be signing up for an S7 account and getting the miles? :)
