Best option to travel to Nairobi from east coast

Best option to travel to Nairobi from east coast

    Hello,

17 of us are going to east Africa (Nairobi & Tanzania) in July for a Safari adventure (few business others economy). Would love your thoughts on what airline to fly. We are all flying from the east coast. Do you recommended flying Kenya Airways non-stop from New York to Nairobi or a connecting (Qatar, Emirates or Sky Team via Paris). Economy prices differ by $200-$300. Business: Sky Team $3100 rest $4k to $4.5k. Kenya Airways is most convenient but concerned as we have never flown them before. How is the service and food. (We are all vegetarians). Thanks!!

Vikas, I’d place a ton of value on the non-stop flight, especially with 17 of you traveling together. That is a very large group if connections go awry, so minimizing transit would be a big factor for me.

Kenya Airways seems to have slightly above average reviews, as you can see here. Business review from Ben, Economy review from another blog.

I would pick KQ. The non-stop flight would make group travel a heck easier, plus when else will you have the option of flying with them? I know a few people who have been on KQ, and they’ve all said fairly positive things. I cannot comment on vegetarian meals though
