United vs American Airlines

United vs American Airlines

  1. Anonymous Guest

As a 2.34 million mile 1k with United I am considering changing to American Airlines in 2016. What are the advantages and disadvantages of moving my status and my 40 person global consultancy’s loyalty to American/One World?

Jennifer, what are your reasons for moving? Are there some specific features you are looking for? It sounds like you might benefit from some personalized consulting based around your needs yourself. Not sure if that is available here. @Lucky or @Tiffany might have some suggestions.

Right, it really depends on what you don’t like about United.

American is a bit better in terms of operational reliability (but not as good as Delta), and the overall route network for oneworld isn’t really competitive with Star Alliance or SkyTeam.

But, if you can tell us a bit more, we’d be happy to help!
