Lucky, Thanks to your blog advice on this web site, last week I flew Singapore Airlines Suite from SIN via Narita to LAX. Great experience, less than 100k miles, all earned though sign-up bonuses and transfers via various credit cards (I have 1K on United based on my flights, but that did not help). Probably my best aviation experience so far. The welcome with a choice of Krug or Dom was beyond expectations, as well as the “night cap” of Johnny Walker Blue. The flight included lunch, dinner, and breakfast – all fabulous. And I got some sleep too, in a real bed. Thank you for publishing this blog – without this encouragement, I would have never thought about it. And I guess I’m a sort of hobbyist for a long time – I first experienced the upgrade world with PanAm frequent flyer program frequent upgrades from Europe to US and Hawaii in the 1980s. Back then, double upgrades were not unusual.
