LHR – Concorde Room Access Question?

LHR – Concorde Room Access Question?

  1. Anonymous Guest

We are flying BA F from IAH-LHR and then connecting to another BA flight from LHR-LIS. The IAH-LHR flight arrives T5 and I just found out the BA flight to LIS apparently departs from T3 (looks to be one of the few remaining BA flights in T3). We booked a long layover so we could visit the Concorde Room at LHR. Will we be able to get to the Concorde Room if arriving LHR T5 and departing LHR T3?

Please advise as we just paid to change our flights so we could visit the CR and want to make sure this can happen! Thank you in advance.

@FirstTimeBAFirst — Well, the best answer is that it is possible but not really practical:

You have to re-clear security, and your boarding pass won’t give you access to T5

However, you could book a refundable flight that would depart from T5 so you’d have access to that terminal (sketchy, and I wouldn’t do it or recommend it, just saying “in theory”)

There’s no way to exit T5 from the departures area, so you’ll need airport staff to unlock a door so you can get on the bus to T3. There will be a lot of conversation about why you’ve changed your flight.

Plan an extra ~45 minutes for this nonsense, given it’s not part of the normal procedure
So I would personally probably skip it, and use the lounges in T3 instead. I’d have a hard time justifying the hassle and trickery required, personally.

The Concorde Room is really NOT ALL THAT — not worth the hassle.

p.s. it’s not like the Emirates, Cathay and Qantas lounges in their hubs.
