I’ve never flown on a 747 before. I’ll be flying 1st on KE 026 on another trip, so I’m not worried about getting to experience 1st class. The cost of the award ticket or the service difference isn’t really important. I’m mostly just interested in experiencing the cooler seat/AvGeek experience.
So since I can only ride the 747 once, would it be better to grab a seat in first class in the nose or a seat in business class on the upper deck from an AvGeek perspective.

If you only have the one chance in a 747, definitely go for First so you can sit in the nose.
