Etihad / Emirates / Qatar / Singapore?

Etihad / Emirates / Qatar / Singapore?

1. Anonymous Guest

I’m flying from Dubai to Tokyo in the Spring, and looking at paid fares with best seats & comfort.
Options that I have considered
HND is Haneda Airport
NRT is Narita Airport

1) Qatar Airways
DXB-DOH -> A350-900
DOH-HND -> B787-8
(or)
DXB-DOH -> (?)
DOH-NRT -> B777-200LR

2) Emirates
DXB-HND -> B777-200LR
DXB-NRT -> B777-300ER

3) Etihad
Dubai – AUH Airport (Etihad Chaffeur)
AUH-NRT -> A340

4) Singapore
DXB-SIN -> B777 / A330
SIN-HND -> A330

From you guys’ flying experience, which do you guys think is the best option? (Considering comfort, timing etc)

What class are you thinking of traveling in?

Business Class. DXB-DOH will be First due to QR’s policies.

By the way, all travel is in J class (except for DXB-DOH on QR,when it will be automatically class F)

the Qatar Airways [DXB-DOH -> A350-900
DOH-HND -> B787-8] route would have the best hard product as both of these type aircraft from Qatar Airways have reverse herringbone seats in the business/first cabin while the rest of those options either have staggered seats, forward facing fully flat seats or angle flat seats. HND is also much closer to Tokyo than NRT.

Agreed with @Jacob McCarthy — I would probably take Qatar!

It is a shame that the 777-300ER is primarily used to the US

The problem is I only have around 1 hour of connection at Hamad

@JoeWilliams — That’s fine, it’s an easy airport to navigate, so I think an hour would be sufficient.

Well, they need more seats I guess! I think A380 / B777 makes more sense than B787/A350 on routes like Dallas
