Hey Ben!
I’m just wondering — we are planning (we being my family and I) a trip to the UK in 2017, about June. We would like to go Business, but it may just be economy.
We live in Venezuela.
So, we can either go to Houston, Miami, or direct from Caracas.
From Caracas, there is Air Europa, Air France, LH, Alitalia, TAP, UAL, AAL, that fly international, besides possibly others.
So, what airline in your opinion, has the best economy?
I know economy sucks, but hey!
Why not?
We’d like decent IFE (that is, we have similar interests – sports, documentaries, but not really a fan of music or movies), and decent food. The seat would be another point.

What about business?
No, don’t suggest LH — we already know what it’s like and are considering it.
We are wondering about the rest?

And by the way, we can connect in eg. Bogota, JFK, MIA, IAH, etc.

Best economy? Is that supposed to be an oxymoron? Least worst might be word you are looking for.

2017 is still quite some time away so it hard to say for certain what airlines will fly Caracas-Europe then, let alone what product they will offer.

AF new J does look quite nice, but at the pace they are updating their planes it might be later than 2017 before they are finished.

Might I suggest you start looking from April/May next year? By then I might be a bit clearer what is available since airlines rarely make route plans more than a year into the future.

Yes, but surely there is a nice/decent economy SOMEWHERE?

Alitalia should be fine as it’s now, it’s already a good product. Lucky has reviewed it before.

For Y, perhaps AF. At least the food should good and think they still serve champagne in all classes.
