BA F or VS Upper Class SFO-LON

    Lucky,

I have a BA first LHR-SFO already booked on the 747. Was wondering if you would recommend using another 62.5K AA +~$500 miles on SFO-LHR in BA on First or 30K Virgin America Miles + ~$460 for Virgin Atlantic Upper Class on the redeye out to LHR?

@ Paul — That’s a toughie. Ultimately British Airways first class is better than Virgin Atlantic Upper Class. That being said, relatively speaking Virgin Atlantic has a better business class product than British Airways’ first class product. So personally I’d probably redeem the Virgin America points, but can’t go wrong either way. Really it depends on your overall points balances.
