Are there noise cancelling headphones on Cathay Pacific flight?

Are there noise cancelling headphones on Cathay Pacific flight?

Can you please tell me whether there are noise-cancelling headphones on Cathay Pacific flights from the US to Beijing or Shanghai? It would be nice to know since if there are, then we will not take ours. Thanking you.

I belive First class has Bose noise cancelling headphones, while Business class has generic noise cancelling headphones

Thank you for your quick reply. Regular noise-cancelling headphones on business class will be fine for us (less thing to carry).

Y’all are assuming I use the IFE ever 😉

But a quick check of the trip report index [ ’]http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/trip-report-index/airlines/ ] confirms what I believe are noise-canceling headphones even on intra-Asia flights.

Thank you Tiffany. Sorry, but what is “IFE”? Also, when I click on the link you sent me, the following comes up: “Oops! That page can’t be found.” But no problem, I trust Jacob (McCarthy)’s recollection.

yep, that’s what I thought too, I have no personal expierence of how good they are though

I just always bring my Bose QC15s on all flights to be safe

Mine is very basic, nothing like your Bose QC15s :-)))). So I’ll be fine with those default Cathay headphones….

IFE is “In Flight Entertainment” Usually referring to the seat-back screens

CX does have noise cancelling headphones in F and J, but theyre not branded. They’re fine but I personally prefer in-ear buds instead of over the ear noise cancelling headphones.

@Daniel B Flying CX means you’d be flying US to HKG and connecting to PEK or PVG but it is mostly (if not all) served by wide body aircraft and I believe those routes also have noise cancelling headphones in F and J. However, I’m not entirely sure if CX sometimes services those destinations with their regional product which may not have noise cancelling headphones.

Lastly, I’d recommend investing in a pair of decent noise cancelling headphones if you fly quite a bit – it’ll be well worth it!

I think it didn’t like my brackets, but should be fixed now!

Tiffany, David, Jacob – many thanks again for your advice, I really appreciate it! I will try out some of those headphones in a store to see the difference. Regarding my original question, I am sure I’ll be happy with the standard CX-issued headphones for our upcoming trip.
Again, I appreciate the great work you all are doing on this blog.

I thought F, since last year, stocked bose headphones? (picture from Lucky)
