American 767 IFE solution
Hello All!
I was flying LHR-ORD on AA on one of their refurbed 767s in J. The weird thing, though, was there were no tablets passed out. I asked the FA an hour or so into the flight and they said they didn’t have them.
Thoughts?
It was a boring flight?
Ask for some points.
Very odd, I thought that IFE was par of the package.
They should have it. I flew AA MXP-JFK on their refurbished J and they passed it out along with Bose headphones
I thought the seat felt kind of narrow though, and odd to sleep in. Couldnt really get comfortable enough to sleep. I slept better on Delta’s 757 business class.
I too took an MXP-JFK flight back in May on the refurb 767 and found the J seat uncomfortable and the cabin a bit crowded. We did however get tablets.
This seat is the original Vantage seat installed in Austrian, Swiss, some Air Canada 777 as well as others. It’s certainly not the best seat on the market. I do find it incredible that with these recent installations American Airlines would not install AVOD. I don’t know what the tablet entertainment is but I doubt it’s on par with the PDE United offers throughout their system. Just seems short-sighted on AA’s part.
But you should ALWAYS check rewardflying to learn about your aircraft first!

They should have had tablets for you, that’s weird. I would write in and see if you can get a few miles as compensation.

AA seems to not like to install AVOD after the fact, not installing on older 737s or older ex US planes
