    I just booked my family of six in business class on an AA 777-200 flight from MIA to SCL for September 29, 2016. I was surprised that the seating options reflected the old business class setup. Ironically, for our flight from ORD to MIA we are in the new business class cabin on the 767-300, which looks much nicer than the international leg. I’m aware of the delays with retrofitting the business class cabins on the 777-200s but was excepting that by the date of my flight surely that plane would have been retrofitted. Is there any new information about the retrofit progress? What are the chances the plane gets the retrofit by then? Or is the fact that the seat map shows the old configuration assurance that the plane will not be retrofitted? If the retrofit does happen between now and then will my seats be reassigned? Also, I’ve never flown the old 777-200 business class on American but saw one comment that said to avoid the old business class seats if you can. Do you have a review anywhere about it? Thanks.

    yep, annoying, I know Esteban isn’t talking about a transatlantic flight, but weren’t all AA transatlantic flights supposed to be fully flat in J? There are still old 772s going from ORD to LHR

    I know about the seat vendor situation, but that was 6 months ago. It’s hard to believe there has been no progress in 6 months…
