I submitted my global entry renewal last year and I know they were quite backed up. I’m on month 6 and am still waiting for conditional approval. Is there anyone who has submitted a renewal since last summer that could provide some guidance on how long the renewals are taking? The renewal site says 6 months but it hasn’t been updated lately so I’m not sure how accurate that is..

My son applied for renewal on 3-8-20. Got approved on 1-18-21
My wife applied for renewal on 4-14-20. Got notification on 2-5-21 to schedule an interview. Interview was done on 2-12-21 and within 1 hour her status changed to Approved.

Update to the above: it seems that [U]the renewal is much faster now[/U] then before since I applied for my Global Entry renewal on 12/20/2020 and got the approval today, 3/24/2021 – it took them only 3 months to process my application! Hopefully for everyone else it will be a similarly fast process.

Applied for renewal – 2-12-2021

New Global Entry Card arrived in the mail – 3-22-2021

Funnily enough I got the email notification that my “Application Status” had changed while I was in Abu-Dhabi EY Lounge, but couldn’t get through Multi-Factor Login.

I almost asked about it at AUH Pre-Clearance – only didn’t because if I had needed to go for interview I live close to DFW. Turned out to be a wise decision!

My Global E. was about to expire. The GE website to schedule an appointment was not really functional…..so I just went to the Global Entry office downtown and got a renewal without an appointment in 15 minutes. Washington DC. Was told at the GE office that I could have done the same at IAD.
