chancepress MemberI just received the IHG Rewards Club card. I have some Holiday Inn stays coming up (booked yesterday with the new card), so I was hoping to use the status that comes with the card to accelerate my earning. Now I’ve been told it will take 6-8 weeks for my account to be upgraded to platinum, and that there’s no way to expedite it. Has anyone else had this experience? Is there any way to get the better earning rate applied to your account when you check in, if you’ve used the IHG card to book the stay?
