SPG options in Hong Kong
Has anyone stayed / have opinions on the three different SPG hotels in Hong Kong? @Lucky and @Tiffany ‘s reviews of other properties in HK are really helpful, but also wanted more details on the SPG options before making some reservations.
Thanks!
W Hong Kong is probably the nicest SPG hotel and it is right on top of Kowloon station on the Airport Express making it extremely convenient to and from the airport. It is also attached to Elements mall which is nice enough if perhaps a little soulless. There some food options in the mall and the train station. From Kowloon it is relatively easy to get to Hong Kong Island via the MTR. You will have to taxi it to Tsim Tsa Tsui. Nice roof top pool but no lounge. and I find they are not as great with room upgrades as they once were.
Sheraton is right in the middle of TST and as such is in a great location. Ideally you want to be in the Towers rooms which tend to be nicer and have a better lounge. It’s a Sheraton and is perfectly acceptable. I find they more often have discounts than the W. Extremely convenient location for sightseeing.
I have not stayed at Meridien Cyberport but it is in a more remote location on Hong Kong Island. If you want more seclusion this may be the place for you. they have a shuttle to Central I believe, and it can take up to 20 minutes. the Taxi is a little shorter. Obviously a less convenient location and apparently nearby food options are more limited.
More experienced posters/HK visitors will hopefully have better info than I.
Check flyertalk. This question often comes up.

Appreciate that breakdown and will help me as I move forward. I’ll definitely check out Flyertalk as well.
