So I have never used rocket miles or any of the similar sites, but I was recently wondering if they were worth it? I usually stay at Hyatt’s and put my spend on my Hyatt card. I don’t have status or anything and don’t stay but maybe 5-10 times a year. Would it make more sense to use a site like rocket miles and earn the airline points? Id still be paying that with my reserve so would be earning 3x on the UR for the stay, and those can be transferred to Hyatt if needed.

Not a bad option if you dont have elite status with Hyatt or any hotel chain. You wouldnt earn Hyatt points on the stay though but it’s not that many points to begin with.

Check the rates each time and see what your airline mile earnings are. If it’s not too much then you might want to book direct. For a traveler like you, there’s flexibility and it helps.
