Leaving a hotel early

Leaving a hotel early

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Lucky,

I’m currently on night one of a 4 night stay at an IHG hotel (getting my accelerate promotion going)

My plans have changed and I’m going to have to leave after 2 nights. I’ve paid for the room upfront so there is no refund to worry about but I want to make sure I get the points and the four nights credited for elite status and the accelerate promotion.

Am I best to tell the hotel I’m leaving and ask for the full credit or just don’t tell them and let them check me out at the end of my stay.

Feels wrong to leave a room that could be resold empty but don’t want to loose out.

    Thanks

    Chris
