Hotel bed bug issues: claim compensation

Hotel bed bug issues: claim compensation

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello Lucky,

I would like to ask you if you ever encountered bed bug issues when staying in a hotel. And if yes, did you ask for any compensation and how?

I have been staying at a Holiday inn in Munich and I have been bitten 42 times in one night. I went to complain (it was also the day of my checkout) but they didn’t take my complain seriously, even after I showed the manager my bites (red dot, &cm in diameter).

What would you advise? I requested a compensation but they practically laughed at me.

I sent an email to IHG customer care with pictures of the bites.
I also sent an email to the hotel with pictures of the bites.

How can I contact the upper management of Holiday Inn? clearly the local management does not care… I’m a Spire Elite member but they don’t seem to care at all…

Thanks a lot for your help!!

    Caroline
