Baccarat Hotel NYC question

Baccarat Hotel NYC question

  1. Rob in Miami Member

    (1) Just curious, in case someone can help, I googled the ownership of Baccarat and knew that Barry Sternlicht with Starwood owned it previously. It seems that it was sold as a brand (?) to a Chinese group? Does this mean that it is not a Marriott hotel now post-Marriott Starwood merger?
(I think the answer may lie in that Starwood Hotels is a different company than Starwood Capital (B Sternlicht).
It’s now simply a Legend “Preferred Hotels” brand?
    (2) If there is the new Barry Sternlicht hotel brand dubbed “Treehouse”- any idea if that will become a Marriott?
