2 questions regarding SPG elite benefits: incremental benefits? Platinum?

2 questions regarding SPG elite benefits: incremental benefits? Platinum?

    Hello Ben

My 2 questions are regarding SPG elite benefits.

    1. I travel a lot for business and pleasure any by the end of the year i would have a total of 82 nights (27 stays) at Starwood properties of which 70 nights (23 stays) are paid stays totalling upto roughly $43,000. Are there any incremental benefits with SPG based on total annual spending, apart from the incremental benefits at 50, 75 and 100 nights marks ?

    2. Is it worth specially going for 18 more nights to reach the 100 night Platinum mark apart from it being for the sake of novelty ? I already anyway get more than needed stay benefits through Platinum status as well as Luxury Privileges Program rates.

I shall look forward to your expert opinion.

Safe and enjoyable trip in Maldives 🙂

    @ Hasan —

    1) Nope, not really. I believe they do have an invitation only tier, but it will require more spend than that.
    2) That’s tough to say, something I was asking myself as well last year. I don’t think it is, based on everything I’ve heard.
