Sudden rise in Business class tickets from Asia
Over the last few weeks, I was looking for business class tickets from Hong Kong to USA for 4 people in the summer of next year, however in the past week or two the prices of these tickets have gone up dramatically.
For example, HKG-LAX on ANA used to be 1900 USD while HKG-ORD or -EWR on American Airlines was 2000 usd. However on both routes they have suddenly risen to 3000 usd, is there any particular reason why this might be the case? And would the prices drop back in the future?
It’s certainly worth waiting to see. Airline pricing algorithms are not transparent and I’ve often had prices fluctuate for price. You could use Google flights or something similar to track prices.
Do the cookies stored in your computers search history affect pricing? If the airlines website sees a trend being searched, it fluctuates pricing? Would searching from an “incognito” window alleviate this?
Worth trying! Also worth trying without logging into your account.
