Why has Qatar been more successful than Etihad in the US?

Anonymous GuestSeems like Qatar (and obviously EK) have been much more successful in the US than Etihad (more cities, more frequent flights, etc). Why has this been this case? And with the Open Skies Agreement, can Qatar and Etihad add more US flights?
